Combining 3D aero mesh with our silky smooth Paragon fabrics, our brand new road racing suit borrows features from our best selling products and adds an aero twist.

There are so many skinsuits out there to choose from, so what makes our road skinsuit so special?

AIRFLOW DISRUPTION- Wind tunnel data shows that textured fabrics smooths airflow by keeping it attached for longer, resulting in lower drag. On the bike the leading edge of your body in a race position are the sleeves, shoulders and upper back so we have placed a 3D textured mesh in these areas to disrupt the air when it first hits. Curved seam-lines then help to transition the air onto smoother fabrics.

BUTTERFLY OPENING- The front YKK Vislon zip opens fully, making comfort breaks and getting the damn suit on a whole lot easier! The zipper has a semi automatic closure and ultra smooth glide.

SEAMLESS SHORTS-  Borrowing our tried and tested Paragon seamless bib short 2.0 design, the bottom half of the skinsuit features an integrated gripper and a tapered leg providing compression and a second skin feeling. We basically designed those bibs to feel like wearing a skinsuit, so it was about time we put them on one!

THERMOREGULATION- There has been a lot of research done recently on the impacts of core body temperature on overall riding performance. This is the 2nd reason why we used a highly breathable mesh to disrupt the air rather than a solid fabric. Keeping core body temperature cool and keeping you riding at your best. Although a 2 layer fabric construction reaps many rewards on short course TT circuits, it pales in comparison to overheating on a long ride on a summers day...

TT SPECIFIC CHAMOIS PAD- "How can you make a chamois specific to a skinsuit?" I hear you ask. Well there is more to it than you might think. When a cyclist is riding on the rivet they tend to move to the nose of the saddle where there is less padding. So we have designed and produced a chamois pad, in partnership with Dolomiti, a pad with a greater amount of foam on the front. It also has a smooth surface making it compatible with all types of saddles and has been constructed using a shaved foam technique allowing for different densities in hot spot areas. It is rated for 6+ hours of use.

POCKETS- 3 rear high capacity pockets let you carry all the cargo you need for an all day epic ride or race. The material is polyamide based meaning it is harder wearing than polyester, so you can pin numbers in as many times as you like.

So yeah, a bit of work has gone into this one. Over 2 years in development in fact.

Behind The Seams

Where Ideas Become Reality

From the first sketch to the pattern table, every Lusso piece begins its journey here in our Manchester Factory. Nothing is outsourced — we use the skills we've developed over the last 40 years of innovating.

Fabric First

We hand-select every fabric for each garment to ensure it performs perfectly for its purpose— before we cut a single panel.

Made in Manchester, by Us

Unlike most brands who outsource production abroad, we make every piece right here. That means better quality, faster innovation, and fair wages for our team.

Precision in Every Cut

In-house advanced CNC manufacturing gives us complete control over every detail. No corners cut (literally). No compromises.

Prototypes with Purpose

Before you wear it, we test, tweak, and refine it. Every Lusso garment is the result of relentless experimentation and perfection.

Real-World Tested

We don’t stop at the sewing machine. Every garment is tested by real riders — on real rides — to ensure it performs where it matters.

Checked, Rechecked, Perfected

Before anything leaves our Manchester Factory, it’s personally inspected by our team to guarantee Lusso quality on every ride.

From our Factory to your Door

When you buy from Lusso, you’re buying direct from the people who make your gear. That’s rare in cycling. By skipping distributors, agents, and inflated retail mark-ups, we’re able to use premium materials, obsess over the details, and deliver kit at prices that make sense.
