Windtex Thermal Stealth Overboots

My third pair. Great over shoes but the zips fail after a couple of years

I’ve used a few different brands of overshoes and these have proved the best, lasting a tough year (I cycle 6 days out of 7 all year) and only being destroyed by a fall rather than normal wear. Nice close fit (size 43 and use large) and stretchy so easy to slip off. Perfect for >5C temperatures and I just add a Castelli toe thingy for winter which is good enough. Not particularly waterproof but will keep out road spray and light rain. I also spray the front with Nikwax waterproofer after washing which improves water resistance a lot. Great value - Can’t recommend enough!

I was looking for an overshoe that was a good balance between windproof (primarily), aero, keep my feet reasonably dry. Mainly for the spring, autumn (most UK days). I have had these about 9 months now (over autumn, winter and spring). These have been brilliant. I am a size 9 (s-works 6, size 44) Large is spot on fit. Great at stopping wind whilst feet not overheating. I find feet no more wet on a longer ride with the more plastic type boil in the back rain specific overshoes, plus a lot warmer on a long ride. These are that good I even prefer them in lower temperatures (to my previous bulky winter overshoes- I just use thicker socks). I use them at temperatures 3-12 degrees c. Considering the price great value. I just use these now.
