The paragon signature bib shorts did not evolve overnight. Much like Rome, they were not built in a day. It has taken several years, many design concepts, countless fabric tests and endless hours in the saddle to get to this stage and we are confident in stating they will be the only bib shorts you will reach for in your cycling wardrobe.
Constructed from a micro-knitted Italian fabric that has a supple, lightweight feel with an abundance of stretch for unrestrictive riding comfort. The elastane content responsible for the comfort in this material is off the charts, making up 42% of the fibre content. For reference, traditional lycra contains 20% elastane and so these bib shorts are over 2X as supple. Seams have been kept to a minimum to minimise chafing.
The material can be raw cut in any direction thanks to its double knitted construction, and we have maximised the benefits this offers. The legs have been raw cut for a second skin fit, holding perfectly in place without the need for silicon grippers and giving the sensation of not wearing anything at all. The bib top has been raw cut too, reducing irritating seams against the skin. The rear panel has an internal cut out, only made possible by our advanced digital manufacturing process. This improves the breathability of the garment without compromising strength or functionality. The rear panel features an innovate new strap junction design, angling each strap over the shoulders evenly to avoid pressure points.
The front waist has been designed to offer more coverage and support than our other bib shorts. This section also gets taller in larger sizes, offering a flattering aesthetic no matter your build.
World renowned pad manufacturers Elastic Interface provide the chamois, suitable for ultra long distances. The surface material has been cut from production leftovers and is a big step towards zero waste production. The resulting pads are all unique, each with different colour combinations and feature an anatomical shape with antibacterial treatment. Comfort rating over 8 hours.
The shorts are finished with an Iridescent reflective logo on the lower leg, exclusive to this product.
