In 1993 we brought out our first pair of gel padded shorts. 30 years later, they are still a staple of our collection. Now updated with recycled materials and an all new chamois. 

A chamois is the heart of any cycling shorts. When it comes to a gel chamois, you know you’re in for a comfy ride. Combining 2 layers of foam with 1 layer of perforated gel for added comfort and excellent vibration dampening. Constructed from a 7 panel design for an anatomical fit, with all seams flat locked and covered for comfort next to the skin. The waist is cut high for a better fit on the bike.

Excellent high comfort shorts

I like these shorts so well I have bought 4 pairs of them. The shape is a perfect fit, the seams are in the right places and don't chafe. The gel chamois is the best I have ever used for long distance touring. Highly recommend.

Lusso Performance Gel shorts

I had some initial problems with fit as my waist size fell right on the edge of L and XL. Lusso customer service was excellent in managing the exchange. The XL is a perfect fit all over for me: 6’ 2” with a 35” waist.
I wish there was an option to order without the LUSSO logo or alternatively with the old “L” logo or maybe in matt black rather than “in your face” white. Much more discrete logos are better imho. I managed to remove the “LUSSO” but it’s inevitably left some witness of being present.

Really happy with these

I went for these waist shorts as an upgrade on the pairs I bought from another brand several years ago.

The Lusso shorts are very comfortable and could easily be used for long hours riding. They’ll also work great for commuting and general riding where you might not want to use bibs.
