The paragon signature bib shorts did not evolve overnight- It has taken several years, many design concepts, countless fabric tests and endless hours in the saddle to get to this stage.
Constructed from a micro-knitted Italian fabric that has a supple, lightweight feel with an abundance of stretch and light compression for unrestrictive riding comfort. Seams have been kept to a minimum to minimise chafing. The legs have been raw cut for a second skin fit, holding perfectly in place without the need for silicon grippers and giving the sensation of not wearing anything at all. The bib top has been raw cut too, allowing it to lay close to the skin. The rear panel has an internal cut out improving breathability without compromising strength or functionality. The innovate new strap junction design angles each strap over the shoulders evenly to avoid pressure points in a cross over style, exclusive to the Paragon range.
The front waist has been designed to offer more coverage and support than our other bib shorts. This section also gets taller in larger sizes, offering a flattering aesthetic no matter your build.
Elastic Interface provide the chamois, suitable for ultra long distance rides. The surface material has been cut from fabric leftovers and is a big step towards zero waste production. The resulting pads are all unique, each with different colour combinations and feature an anatomical shape with antibacterial treatment, with a comfort rating of 8 hours.
The shorts are finished with an Iridescent reflective logo on the lower leg, exclusive to these bib shorts.

The Lusso difference
The quality of the shorts and the workmanship ( workwomanship?) is outstanding, especially the seat pad, the straps are the easiest to use and provide support and comfort for hours. These are the third pair I have had and are my first choice.
Bought these as I liked how they were seamless. However I was not expecting the level of comfort. By far the best Bib shorts I have worn. Went up Mount Ventoux twice and no sore saddle or legs riding up. Came back from my trip and bought a second pair.
These bibs are fantastically well made from premium materials and look great. The fit and feel is excellent with just the right level of compression and support - I purchased the size Large and I have a 35 inch waist. Very happy with these and all of the other Lusso products I have bought so far 👌.
Confession time-I have never worn silk knickers (yes, honestly!) but I think the Paragon shorts are the cycling equivalent. They are just so comfortable!
Full disclosure: I've been a fan of Lusso for many years and have bought several items of kit from them. It has always been reliable, comfortable and long-serving gear. I've encouraged several cycling pals to try their kit and many have made the switch from 'corporate' brands. Lusso turn out excellent kit, using high-quality materials and made by real people in Manchester. They also provide excellent customer service - for example, they replaced a broken zip in a four-year-old but otherwise perfectly functioning winter jacket for me, for just a few pounds. The big brands wouldn't be interested...
So when I went looking for a pair of bibs specifically for long audaxes, I was intrigued to see these Paragon 'Signature' special edition bibs in their sale. To be honest they were at the top end of what I feel I can justify for bibs price-wise, but easily stand their ground when compared to 'all-day specific' bibs from several other brands. So I pitched in.
Straight out of the packet, they look and feel beautiful - it just feels like you're holding a classy item of kit. The finishing touches are discreet yet pleasing. Sizing was accurate, L fits me snugly without being tight in any department.
That feeling of 'class' continues in their wearing. I like the pad, made as it is from swatches of different coloured material. No-one sees it, but it's a fun touch and also enhances Lusso's sustainability claims.
On first riding, these bibs are just lovely. Everything just works. They're not trying to be 'cheap' but they are clearly a premium, high quality item of clothing. I haven't yet ridden the very long distances I've bought them for, but I'm already completely confident that they'll do the job - for a long time to come.
