The orange aqua extreme v2 jacket provides all day safety and warmth with its high visibility design.

See why Road.cc gave us 10/10 here

We use the same windtex outer material as our award winning aqua repel v2 jackets, but with an additional fleecy lining on the inside to keep you warmer as the temperature drops.

Eco Friendly

The v2 jackets feature a new windtex membrane made from polyurethane (PU) which is more elastic and breathable over traditional plastics and inherently more eco friendly.  PU also doesn’t interfere with the bodies endocrine and hormonal systems, nor does it contribute to PH changes in soil or water.

We use a DWR treated fabric under the armpits for refined breathability. Our water repellant treatment is plant based, fluorine free and fully sustainable.

Visibility

We have used the orange high visibility windtex fabric on the majority of the front and back faces of the garment. On the lower torso, back pockets and side panels we have used black windtex for a contrasting design. There is also reflective piping around the tail flap and cargo pockets.

Warmth

Up North, we know what bad weather feels like so we have used premium Italian fabrics designed to cope with the harsh UK winter. We use 95% Windtex and 5 % DWR treated Roubaix fabric in its construction. Windtex offers maximum warmth and freedom of movement with minimal bulk, where as the 2 small DWR panels under the armpits offer refined breathability.

Due to the higher percentage of windtex used we rate this jacket slightly warmer than the black version that replaces repellency for visibility.

Warm and Bright

After reading the review of all the winter jackets on road.cc, I settled on this one. I live in the Seattle area (U.S.A.) and needed something for those low light, cold, humid and wet rides. When on the road, I want to wear something that can be seen by drivers. No more black jackets or jerseys for me. The jacket fits really well and it conformed to my body instantly. I used a thin long sleeve base layer and went out in 2 degrees c. and 90% humidity for my first ride. I was surprised how warm my arms and body were when riding. I've now used it about a dozen times, not in heavy rain, and only once in a drizzle. It resists moisture and breathes quite well. Because of the high humidity around here in the winter months, it's hard not to be a bit clammy when finishing a ride. This jacket kept me dry inside and out. One day it warmed up to 10 degrees c. and I was getting a bit too warm. The temperature rating Lusso gives this jacket is spot-on.
This jacket is so amazing that now I want to ride when the weather is not that inviting! I also feel much safer on the road with the bright orange color.
BTW, I ordered an XL. I'm 191 centimeters (6'3") in height with a long slender build. Fits perfect and deserves a 10/10.

Very good winter jacket, poor zip

First off, the Orange colour is very bright and I have had a number of people comment on it. I feel it makes the wearer very visible. Sizing was spot on in large for me at 5 ft 11 1/2 inches and 75 kg. No flapping but able to get another layer underneath along with a base layer if needed. Sleeves are nice and long, no problem with uncovered wrists, very good coverage at the rear with the dropped tail. Water resistance/ proofing has been very good so far although not really tested post wash. Likewise breath ability is excellent. Not as warm as my previous Endurance softshell and this resulted in a few cold rides until I reset my clothing expectations and added in another layer on colder days. The jacket as a whole appears to be high quality and is very well made. Only downside is the zip, works well but very thin baffle behind it and I really notice the cold penetrating the zip down my chest. Would I purchase it again… yes all it’s positive qualities out weight the zip but I really would like a wind proof zip used in future versions

Thanks for your honest feedback, we are glad to hear you like the brightness and fit. All of these jackets come with a full length windproof zip flap that should eliminate your zip problem, but we are currently prototype testing a new version of this jacket with a wind/waterproof zip. If you would like us to take a look at your jacket please get in touch.

My Winter wet weather Go To Jacket

I've had the earlier version of this jacket for around 4 years. Its quite simply my go to wet weather jacket in winter. I find its usually sufficient with a short sleeve base layer and maybe a gilet. Its reasonably water resistant, rain does get through especially on the sleeves eventually. But I hardly ever wear a rain jacket over it. I love the bright orange colour of the v1. The pockets are robust, and the zip pocket big enough for a phone. I suspect its got many more years left, If I was replacing it I'd go for either the v2 or the Extreme. One thing that would put me off though is the increasing amount of black on the newer versions of these jackets,
