Insulation and ventilation for ultimate wet weather protection. Featuring recycled high loft bonded insulation and an upgraded waterproof membrane, functional ventilation holes and reflective accents. Batch 1 limited to 100 units.

The Paragon Deep Winter Jacket 2.0 has had a complete design overhaul. No stone has been left unturned to create the only cycling jacket you will ever need for extreme winter conditions.

Fabric selection is crucial for protecting against the elements. The main body fabric has been developed in conjunction with Italian wet weather experts and tested over the last 12 months. It features an inner high loft insulation grid which is bonded to the membrane, eliminating the need for a separate internal insulation layer. This means you can wear this jacket with a single base layer underneath for adequate warmth and less bulk. The grid structure helps to dissipate excess heat and vapour more quickly, keeping the internal temperature stable. The breathability of the membrane is 25,000 g/m², a 66% improvement over our previous generation of jackets and competitive against other market leaders. The overall construction of the garment has also been made with minimal seams to minimise water ingress.

The sleeve cuffs and wrap-around hem seal utilises a technical neoprene fabric with a waterproof membrane. These sections have been raw cut allowing for a close fit to fully seal out the elements. The rear dropped tail is anatomically shaped to wrap around the body when in a riding position and features an iridescent reflective transfer for visibility.

A YKK AquaGuard® zip prevents rain from penetrating the jacket and we've sewn a full length windproof zip flap internally for extra protection and to form a zip guard against your neck. The contoured high cut collar is internally lined with soft fleecy Roubaix and features an easy hanging label for quick drying and storage.  The rear collar scoop helps the collar lie flat when riding.

To improve ventilation and drainage, the rear of the sleeve and 3 back pockets feature sheltered CNC cut holes to allow moisture to escape.

Behind The Seams

Where Ideas Become Reality

From the first sketch to the pattern table, every Lusso piece begins its journey here in our Manchester Factory. Nothing is outsourced — we use the skills we've developed over the last 40 years of innovating.

Fabric First

We hand-select every fabric for each garment to ensure it performs perfectly for its purpose— before we cut a single panel.

Made in Manchester, by Us

Unlike most brands who outsource production abroad, we make every piece right here. That means better quality, faster innovation, and fair wages for our team.

Precision in Every Cut

In-house advanced CNC manufacturing gives us complete control over every detail. No corners cut (literally). No compromises.

Prototypes with Purpose

Before you wear it, we test, tweak, and refine it. Every Lusso garment is the result of relentless experimentation and perfection.

Real-World Tested

We don’t stop at the sewing machine. Every garment is tested by real riders — on real rides — to ensure it performs where it matters.

Checked, Rechecked, Perfected

Before anything leaves our Manchester Factory, it’s personally inspected by our team to guarantee Lusso quality on every ride.

From our Factory to your Door

When you buy from Lusso, you’re buying direct from the people who make your gear. That’s rare in cycling. By skipping distributors, agents, and inflated retail mark-ups, we’re able to use premium materials, obsess over the details, and deliver kit at prices that make sense.

two big flaws

I hesitate to write this since I really like Lusso and really wanted to like this jacket but it has some serious flaws in my opinion. I cycle nearly daily through winter, average 40 miles a day. I expected the jacket to be pretty warm from reading the description but in practice I find the windproofing to be seriously lacking. The arms, shoulders and chest feel really unprotected as if the wind blows right through. After an hour I have really cold skin although I didn't actually get cold mind you. But while riding you have this constant cold sensation on the whole frontal area and it is distracting and hard to relax and enjoy the ride. I have several other softshell jackets where you don't feel the wind at all. Now I can deal with discomfort and this I could get used to but there is a major flaw that makes the jacket unusable for daily use in my opinion: The neoprene on the lower arms is not waterproof at all. After 15 to 20 minutes of even light rain you get a wet baselayer and after half an hour the water starts going into your (waterproof) gloves which get soaking wet from inside too. Again, I didn't really get cold but it is still pretty uncomfortable and you cannot stop thinking of the wet feeling all during the ride.. Then the jacket soaks up a lot of water meaning it takes ages for the sleeves to dry out again. Waterproof gloves that are wet from inside even longer. So there is no way I can use the jacket twice a day or several days in a row in winter. So really sorry but I am pretty disappointed in this jacket.

Hi Onno-

Thanks for leaving your honest thoughts. Do you wear a warm winter base layer underneath the jacket? The fabric is fully windproof and insulating, but using a warm fleece underneath should stop this cold sensation. Do you use gloves over or under the neoprene cuffs? We would be grateful in you answering these questions to better determine the issues you are experiencing.

Paragon deep winter jacket

Superb jacket no need for anything but a base layer super warm totally wind proof even in the Beacons. Suggest moving up a size as they are a really snug fit but great bit of kit.
