Our crowd-pleasing Carbon V2 bibs just got an upgrade. Now made from recycled materials and a more durable mesh top, but with the same classic Carbon fit, feel and PERFORMance. 

The carbon v2 bib shorts have been our best-selling bibs for the last 5 years and are the only shorts to receive a 10/10 rating from road.cc So we had to think long and hard about any improvements we could make. Rather than focusing on the fit and feel which you have come to love and expect, we turned our attention to the components that make them a wardrobe essential. Recycled fabrics now make up the shorts, whilst retaining the suppleness and stretch that make these bibs fit like an instant classic. A new material has been used to make up the mesh bib top with an improved fibre content. High polypropylene content makes the mesh lighter, softer and more durable than its predecessor, perfect for a pair of daily essentials. It also wicks sweat away faster and is exclusively used on these bib shorts. The extra wide sewn on grippers are directly woven with silicon for stability during your toughest sessions. Paired with our Perform pad which is now made from recycled materials.

Not bad but can improve

I used to ride Assos, but with the last two pairs giving issues I've mode to RedWhite. I really like these although sizing is an issue. Unfortunately the pair o wanted were out of stock so I thought I'd try Lusso as they're from UK and good price. I think they are too long for my short legs - RedWhite provide a short length option. Also the seems are thick around the pad and I can feel it on my left side whilst pedalling although not sore. The stitching should be less harsh whilst being firm and secure.

First time user

From the moment I put them on I knew they were different from what I’d used before. After my 1st 45 mile ride I loved them and then bought another pair. These were definitely the best shorts I had ever used. I will definitely get the long ones for autumn/winter riding. Well done Lusso.

Good value shorts

Worn the perform carbon bib shorts on 6+ rides - longest ride approx 6 hours. Very comfy & they just do a good job. Couple of loose thread ends around the chamois that needed snipping. Leg length is in keeping with the fashion for a longer cut.
I'm 187cm tall, 85kg & size large is the correct size for me.

Bib shorts

I've had various Lusso in the past (90's on) and always size small in shorts. These (S) are very tight on my skinny legs except for the bottom piece which doesn't hug my legs has a gap all the way around - maybe just a manufacturing defect or does it loose its stretch when the reflective Dixon of Dock Green stripes are welded on.
They have been great so far and stay put but probably just because they are so tight. I had some similar fitting 'Skins' which didn't last long - hopefully these will tell the test of time but jury out for now.

Thanks for the feedback! If its just the leg grippers that need tightening, send us some pics to hello@lusso.bike and we can alter them for you. If you've not had a set of carbons before, these are a more compressive fit than some of our older models :)

I bought 2 pairs and have ridden/washed one for a few hundreds miles. Sadly they are just not as good as my previous pair (Carbon Bib Short V1) - so much so I sent the other pair back. Pretty disappointed as whilst the quality is good [except for the Lusso letters - one of which is half off after only a few washes] they just don't fit the same/feel as comfortable.

Thanks for the review. I have read your feedback and am wondering what in particular you are finding fitting different about this newer version? We would love to hear your thoughts, especially being such a long time customer. :)
This version is made from the recycled version of the same fabric we used to use, and cut on the same pattern so there shouldn't be massive differences.
